SPJ triumphs the speech choir competition
The grade 10 students from the Special Program in Journalism takes in first place at the speech choir competition at the Quezon National High School last Wednesday, December 6.
The 20 students had been practicing only days before the competition, with 9 students from AMP-Elysium and 11 from AAE-Valhalla.

Bautista Isinailalim ng DOJ sa WPP
Isinasailalim ngayon, ang asawa ni Commission on elections Chairman Andres Bautista na si Patricia Paz Bautista at ang kanilang mga anak sa Witness Protection Program kaugnay ng pagsiwalat ng mga ito sa itinatagong yaman ng COMELEC Chairman.
Nakatanggap ang mga ito ng death threats , at iba’t-ibang batikos dahil sa ginawa nitong pagsisiwalat.
Nakipagpulong naman si Patricia Paz Bautista kay Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II upang ipahayag ang anunsyong ito sa isang press conference.
“It hasn’t been easy but I’ve received a lot of support and kindness and I can’t be more grateful. As in all things I think we have to rise to the occasion and we have to be as strong as we can be but again, it hasn’t been easy,” giit ni Patricia sa nasabing press conference.
32 Patay sa ‘one-time, big-time’ Drug Operation
Ipinahayag ni Vice President Leni Robredo ang kanyang naramdaman sa 24-hour police operation na ikinamatay ng 32 drug suspects sa Bulacan at 26 sa Manila.
Ipinakita rin niya ang kanyang galit at pagkadismaya dito.
"Yung culture of impunity, matagal na nating isinikwal. Sana hindi na natin papayagang makabalik pa." dagdag pa niya.
NBI Nagsampa ng Reklamo sa Pagpatay kay delos Santos
Matapos maimbestigahan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang pagkamatay ng 17 taong gulang na si Kian delos Santos, ay naghain sila ng criminal complaints sa mga pulis na nasangkot sa nasabing pagpatay sa binata.
Ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP), nagsagawa sila noon ng ‘one-time, big-time’ anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay 160, Caloocan City kung saan nakatira si Kian delos Santos.
Inakusahan ng mga pulis si delos Santos na isang drug dealer, at nang siya ay huhulihin na ay bigla raw itong nanlaban.

They are very important to our lives, just think what would happen if there aren’t news, if there is no broadcasters and reporters in our country, if we wouldn’t have any radio or television to listen or watch to, I think most of us would be dead by now, because we don’t know what is happening.
People today don’t know the importance of news, they would just be sitting all day holding their phones and surf the web, they would just wait for the news to come to them, they don’t find it. And I think that most people knows the news only when they someone posts it on facebook or Instagram or twitter.
They say that the news has no quality, that it is not true, or it is bias, that is because they don’t know the whole story, they don’t want to know the whole story,they don’t want to know the real quality and essence of the news. News is a noteworthy information. It especially about recent or important events.
That is why all of us , each and every one of us, should know the importance of the news, I am not saying we should take away the right of the people by posting their opinions, and own perspective but for us to know the true story, the real report and broadcast of the real news.
